28TH JUNE 2004 JULY DATES FOR THE GIANTS and PRINCES OF PLEASURE Well what a great time we have been having over the past month or two !! Welcome back to Wayne Burt ( giutarist extaordinaire and Stuart,s songwriting partner on all the albums that THE GIANTS have recorded so far ) and the incredibly talented (drumming and percussion genius Paul Keane , great to have these fantastic musicians back in the band again !! Steve Brooks our current bass player is a joy to work with , able to play any style and sing like a bird , makes life easy for us so - called frontline guys Mark and Stuart . We now have the happiest rhythm section we,ve had for ages and it shows in our onstage madness ! Speaking of madness , David " Junior " Gild our absolutely amazing 20 yr old keyboard genius is totally mad but then they say there is a fine line ..... etc etc !! So after all the above you can see that Mark and Stuart are both very happy guys , having the abovementioned players onstage with them when they all walk out together as THE GIANTS !!! On a sadder note , we have now severed our relationship with the International in Lilydale as they are closing down their Sunday sessions while renovations are going on . Thanks to the hundred plus people who signed and presented their petition to the management to keep us there . ON TOUR AS THE PRINCES HEAD NORTH !!! yes thats right just as Stuart sold Lana our faithfull tour coach ,( she,s now living in sunny MACKAY in FNQ , ) he has aquired a new / secondhand Toyota 22 seater and Mark , Stuart , Rod and Gerhart will be taking to the highways and heading north to Alice Springs for the whole of July 2004 . Gotta say something about Rod Chater our fantastic sound engineer , not only is he a great bloke to work with but is by far the best engineer we have ever worked with . I guess you don,t get to be Slim Dusty,s engineer for 8 yrs without being the best around . We are lovin every minute of working with you Rod and are in awe of your unflapability and amazing talents. Always got a styvo for Marky and a legend for scoring a drink after hours !!  Rock on Rod ( Muffin ) Chater !!! BACK TO THE CLIFTON HILL HOTEL !!!! THE GIANTS - ONE SHOW ONLY !!! Most of our older fans would have spent many nights rockin at the Clifton Hill Hotel , after all we were the resident band there for 3 1\2 YEARS on Saturday nights . Well our old friend Paul Schroeder and his lovely wife Debbie are moving on to a country lifestyle and so THE GIANTS ARE GONNA ROCK THE CLIFTON HILL PUB ONE MORE TIME !! DO NOT MISS THIS NIGHT IT WILL BE A CRACKER .THE DATE IS FRIDAY THE 9TH of JULY  IT WILL BE OUR LAST GIG AS THE GIANTS IN MELBOURNE FOR OVER A MONTH  BE THERE !!
