12th May 2008 Yes we are still ALIVE!!! Hello to all our friends and fans and thanks for all your enquiries as to when The Giants will be performing live again.  As most of you are aware Mark and myself have opened our Restaurant/Bar called Tassie Devils Restaurant & Bar in Launceston, Tasmania and we have now been open for just over a year. Tassie Devils Restaurant & Bar have taken up a lot of our time and at last it seems that we will have some time available to bring The Giants out of hibernation. We are currently working on some dates on the Mainland as well as in Tasmania.  Our current line up is Mark Greig (Lead Guitar), Jim Marshall (Lead/Slide Guitar & Vocals), Johnnie MacLaine (Keyboard & Vocals), Steve Brooks (Bass & Vocals), George Velenik (Drums & Vocals), Iain Hergstrom (Saxaphone & Percussion) and myself (Stuart Wood - Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica & Vocals).  Keep checking this site for information about our upcoming gigs.   Cheers, Stuart Wood   JAMMING WITH OUR FRIENDS Over the last few months at Tassie Devils Restaurant & Bar, Stuart & Mark have been jamming with some of our old friends who have been performing for us to packed houses.    Some of Australia's and the World's best musicians have appeared at Tassie Devils Restaurant & Bar and Stuart & Mark have been having a ball playing with them. These include Phil Manning (Chain), Russell Morriss, Spectrum, Mike Halby (Canned Heat USA) & Joe Camilleri (The Black Sorrows).  WOW are we having fun...!!!
